All diaphragms endure an exclusive four-stage, heat-treating process for unparalleled performance. The Heavy Duty pressure plate meets SFI Specification 1.1. ACT's 6-pad, spring-centered race disc features a spring-center construction to properly dampen torsional vibrations for quieter operation and resist failure even under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations and increase strength and reliability. The heavy duty torsional dampening springs are stronger in most cases than standard springs and are provided in the best sizes and spring rates to suit the application. The 6-pad, spring-centered disc is recommended for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat and for smoother engagement. All ACT race discs are certified as meeting SFI Specification 1.1 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification. The kit is completed with a quality, stock replacement release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool.
